I have then begun to play about with a composition style that I feel reflects the positioning of the type on the Enigma Rotors for my code about Turing’s work at Bletchley Park. I also searched for a type that matched this type style, something I found to be easier said than done as many typefaces would have some similar letters but letters such as the R, Q, and O proved difficult in matching, as some O’s were too rounded and circular, the line down from the R started from the wrong point and the dash on the Q was either too long or too curvy. The images i’ve gathered are some blueprints of the Engima Machine and close ups of the Enigma Rotors.

I’m still deciding on whether this piece should be printed onto newsprint paper or other recycled paper and if I make this into a lino print or even go as far as laser cutting into a sheet of metal or something. Definitely got some planning to do and think my next step is to make a checklist.
